Spencer Johansen is the Police Chief of Lexington, Illinois. In 2006, at the age of 49, he was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's, but he continues to work, keeping what he calls a "spiritual journal" where he records his struggle to make sense of the illness in light of his faith.
